N.W., P~msey, <br />Minnesota regarding modifications to tax increment financing documents. <br /> <br />g~mbers Present: <br /> <br />Councilmember A1 Sorteberg <br />Councilmember Arnie Cox <br />Council _,~ber Steve DeLuca <br />Councilmember Al Pearson <br /> <br />City Attorney William Goodrich <br /> <br />City Engir~cr Peter Ra_at. ikka <br />cowry Develounent Dzrector Anne Norris <br /> <br />Finance Officer Noel Graczyk <br />Reporter Kathy Cassidy <br /> <br />Mayor Reimann called the public hearing to order at 7:35 p.m. <br /> <br />PUMLIC MFARING OC~MENTS <br /> <br />Ms. Norris stated that the modifications include adding 4 parcels to <br />Develolm~nt District #1 and one p~rcel to Tax Increment District %2. Those <br />parcels to be added include part of Prestressed Concrete property and 2 <br />parcels of Altron property and the modifications include an estimated <br />$200,000 in site improvements. <br /> <br />Councilm~r Cox inquired if it is possible to provide funding to clean up <br />the blight situation in the tax increment district. <br /> <br />Ms. Norris replied that it is a permitted use of the funds but a problem <br />that may be encountered is that cleaning up a blight would not generate new <br />increment ~ff that property. <br /> <br />There was no citizen input at the hearing. <br /> <br />Councilmember DeLuca inquired if it would be advantageous to include the <br />airport area in the develol~ent district. <br /> <br />Ms. Norris replied that the airport could be included in the development <br />district at this time but it should not be added into the tax increment <br />district until the City is sure something is going to happen with the <br />airport property. <br /> City Council/February 24, 1987 <br /> <br />Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
