Highway %10 Corridor Study And Proposed Use Of 1987 CDBG <br /> <br />Ms. Norris stated that in the 1987 budget process, the Economic Development <br /> <br />O~pany and Commission requested funds for certain economic develolm~ent <br />activities including a study of the l~y. %10 corridor. Consultants for <br /> <br />such a study were interviewed and the Hwy. 10 Study Omm~ttee is requesting <br />that the Gouncil enter into a contract with Barton Asc~ at a cost not to <br />exceed $25,000 using mrmG funds. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Councilw,~ber Pearson to adopt <br />Resolution %87-68 to enter into a contract with the firm of Barton-Asdmmn, <br />at a cost not to exceed $25,000, for the Ewy. %10 Corridor Study. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />l~vtew Of Gamblinq License ADDlicattons:__ Case Of Anoka County <br /> pheasants Forever And The _Cystic Fibrosis Foundation: <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley stated that the City has been notified that Anoka County <br />Pheasants Forever and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation have applied with the <br />State for gambling licenses for raffles, pinwheels, pull-tabs and tip <br />boards at J.R.'s and Superbowl. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmsmber Cox and seconded by Councilmember Sorteberg to <br />waive the City's comment period related to the gambling license <br />applications of Anoka County Pheasants Forever and the Cystic Fibrosis <br />Foundation. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Mr. Eartley noted that the licensing is a State and <br />not a city jurisdiction; city councils are offered the opportunity to <br />comment on the application. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
