Mr. ~artley replied that the report lxoposes that those that are psid bel~ <br />their appropriate range will be adjusted over a two year period. <br />Adjustment of those employees that are p~id above their appropriate range <br />will be by: 1) salary increases of a lesser ~ount than other employees; <br />or 2) providing a brief as to why the employer is paying, and will <br />continue to pay, that particular amount of salary to those employees and <br />file that brief with the Department of f~ployee Relations and the Bureau of <br />Mediation. <br /> <br />Mayor Reimann suggested utilizing the report to appropriately set wages <br />immediately and not wait 1-2 years after implementation of comparable worth <br />reports. <br /> <br />Councilm~mber Cox inquired if the data base was obtained from metro area <br />figures. <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley replied that metro figures were used to compute job values. <br />Tne market data was obtained fr~m the metro and out-state area. <br /> <br />Council tabled further discussion of comparable worth until the next <br />regular City Council ~eeting. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Councilmember Pearson to <br />adjourn the regular Council meeting. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Finance Officer Graczyk stated that he will have major <br />problems if Council does not take action to pay bills tonight. Mr. Rartley <br />stated that Council will also lose grant money if Case ~30 isn't addressed. <br />It was noted that adjourn motions are non-debatable. <br /> <br />Motion failed. Voting Yes: Councilmember Pearson. Voting No: <br />Reimann, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Cox and DeLuca. <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br /> <br />4) Adopt resolution approving monthly bills for January, 1987 - <br /> <br />Motion by Mayor Reimann and seconded by Councilmember Sorteberg to adopt <br />Resolution #87-5 approving payment of monthly bills for January, 1987. <br />(Please refer to resolution file for Resolution ~87-5). <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmsmbers Sorteberg, COx, <br />DeLuca and Pearson. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Report On Front Street N.W. Ali_~ment: <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Sorteberg and seconded by Councilmember DeLuca to <br />schedule a special Council meeting on February 10, 1987 at 7:30 p.m. in the <br />Council Chambers at Ramsey Municipal Center to review the proposed <br />alignment of Front Street with the affected property <br /> <br />Motion carried.
