Norris, Cc~mumuity Develol~aent Director ~c~ro~d: Mr. Richard Duggan is requesting a conditional use permit to manufacture steel horseshoes at his business at 6250 Front Street N.W. This property is located in the B-1 Business District. You may be aware that Mr. Duggan also operates the Minnesota School of Horseshoeing from this property. Mr. Duggan is requesting a conditional use permit to manufacture steel horseshoes using an electrically powered drop forge hammer. For your information, enclosed are the following items: a) _A~pl ication b) Site location map c) Public hearing notice d) Properties notified e) Proposed findings of fact f) Proposed conditional use permit agreement Observations: As you know, the City has issued several conditional use permits for manufacturing operations in the B-1 Business district. Mr. Duggan's property is adjacent to residential properties to the south. If the Commission recomme~ approval of Mr. Duggan's request, the Commission may wish to consider limiting hours of operation for manufacturing horseshoes. Recomuendation: Ccmuission Action: Motion to: Adopt findings of fact relating to Mr. Richard Duggan's request for a conditional use pemit.
