PROCEDURE FOR CONSIDERING VARIANCES <br /> <br /> A person desiring to file an appeal for a variance should contact the <br />Zoning Administrator. The Administrator should point out the requirements <br />necessary for the granting of a variance and the limitations of the Board <br />of Adjustments. It should also be pointed out that the Board of Adjustments <br />does not have jurisdiction to review or amend the legislative general rules <br />or chan~ zone district boundaries. <br /> <br /> The Administrator cannot refuse to accept an appeal, but he can <br />attempt to discourage those appellants whose grounds are tenuous. <br /> <br />An appeal for a variance is filed with the Zoning Administrator. <br /> <br />The Zoning AdministratoF review~ application form for: <br /> <br />Completeness and accuracy <br /> <br />Signature of lessee or owner'must be notarized <br /> <br />Accurate plot plan drawn t,o scale showing the local, size, shape, <br />height, and use of all existing buildings (if any) and all proposed <br />buildings and the width and depth of existing or proposed yards <br />of the property invoived. <br /> <br /> ~ Photographs of the property involved to illustrate the condition <br /> of the propertv <br /> <br /> · Collect filing fee <br /> <br /> Public notice that a specific variance will be considered at the next <br />regular meeting of the Board of Adjustment placed in newspaper of general <br />circulation at least 10 days before meeting or public hearing. <br /> <br />A. ppellant is notified of time and place of meeting to public hearing. <br /> <br /> Notice is sent to all property owners within 400 feet of the property <br />for which the appeal is filed. <br /> <br />required under Minnesota Stere Law ~-hile other portions are optional and <br />can b~ ~quired under th~ County ZoninE Ordinance. <br /> <br /> <br />
