CASE S10: <br /> <br />1) On December 16, 1986, City Council approved Elvin Erickson's six month <br />probationary period as Building Official and moved to retain Mr. Erickson as a <br />regular full- time employee. <br /> <br />2) On December 16, 1986, the City Council approved Mr. Joel Thomsen's request <br />for a metes and bounds subdivision contingent upon only one access onto Cty. <br />Rd. #5 from these two lots. The Park Commission reviewed Mr. Thomsen's <br />subdivision on December 18 and reoc~mended that the City require park fees in <br />order to satisfy the City's park dedication requirements. <br /> <br />3) On December 16, 1986, the City Council approved Mr. Michael Powers ' site <br />plan for the construction of a concrete block storage building in the I-1 <br />Industrial District. <br /> <br />4) On December 16, 1986, the City Council approved Ms. Ella Pomeraning's <br />request for a metes and bounds subdivision to split an 11 acre parcel off of <br />the 80 acre parcel she owns along Armstrong Boulevard. On December 18, 1986, <br />the Park Commission reviewed Ms. Pomeraning's proposal and recommended that the <br />City acquire a trail along the northern boundary of the property to satisfy <br />part of the park dedication requirements and request park fees to satisfy the <br />remainder of the park dedication requirements. <br /> <br />5) OnDecember 16, 1986, the City Council reviewed the Planning Commission's <br />concerns regarding contractors' disposing of snow in Ramsey. The Council <br />determined that it would not take action on this matter until it receives <br />specific complaints. <br /> <br />6) OnDecember 16, 1986, the City Council directed staff to amend the Zoning <br />Ordinance to require certified site plans for all commercial and industrial <br />requests and activities (such as conditional use permits, variances, <br />etc.). <br /> <br />7) Attached is information regarding airport zoning for Gateway North. The <br />first item is a memo dated November 19, 1986 to the Airport Commission from <br />Merland Otto and Bill Goodrich. This memo outlines the options the City has <br />according to the State statutes to proceed with airport zoning to prevent the <br />creation or establishment of airport hazards in the designated areas. The <br />second item is a letter dated December 4, 1986 to Merland Otto from Dave <br />Hartley authorizing the develo~ent of prel/minary airport zoning regulations <br />in accordinace with Minnesota Statute 360.063, Subd. 1. The Airport Commission <br />reviewed the preliminary draft of these regulations on January 14, 1987. <br /> <br />8) Attached is a letter dated January 8, 1987 from ISO Commercial Risk <br />Services, Inc. regarding fire insurance classification. Please note that some <br />properties in the City went from a Class 10 classification to a Class 5 <br />classification. <br /> <br /> <br />
