CASE S10: 1) On December 16, 1986, City Council approved Elvin Erickson's six month probationary period as Building Official and moved to retain Mr. Erickson as a regular full- time employee. 2) On December 16, 1986, the City Council approved Mr. Joel Thomsen's request for a metes and bounds subdivision contingent upon only one access onto Cty. Rd. #5 from these two lots. The Park Commission reviewed Mr. Thomsen's subdivision on December 18 and reoc~mended that the City require park fees in order to satisfy the City's park dedication requirements. 3) On December 16, 1986, the City Council approved Mr. Michael Powers ' site plan for the construction of a concrete block storage building in the I-1 Industrial District. 4) On December 16, 1986, the City Council approved Ms. Ella Pomeraning's request for a metes and bounds subdivision to split an 11 acre parcel off of the 80 acre parcel she owns along Armstrong Boulevard. On December 18, 1986, the Park Commission reviewed Ms. Pomeraning's proposal and recommended that the City acquire a trail along the northern boundary of the property to satisfy part of the park dedication requirements and request park fees to satisfy the remainder of the park dedication requirements. 5) OnDecember 16, 1986, the City Council reviewed the Planning Commission's concerns regarding contractors' disposing of snow in Ramsey. The Council determined that it would not take action on this matter until it receives specific complaints. 6) OnDecember 16, 1986, the City Council directed staff to amend the Zoning Ordinance to require certified site plans for all commercial and industrial requests and activities (such as conditional use permits, variances, etc.). 7) Attached is information regarding airport zoning for Gateway North. The first item is a memo dated November 19, 1986 to the Airport Commission from Merland Otto and Bill Goodrich. This memo outlines the options the City has according to the State statutes to proceed with airport zoning to prevent the creation or establishment of airport hazards in the designated areas. The second item is a letter dated December 4, 1986 to Merland Otto from Dave Hartley authorizing the develo~ent of prel/minary airport zoning regulations in accordinace with Minnesota Statute 360.063, Subd. 1. The Airport Commission reviewed the preliminary draft of these regulations on January 14, 1987. 8) Attached is a letter dated January 8, 1987 from ISO Commercial Risk Services, Inc. regarding fire insurance classification. Please note that some properties in the City went from a Class 10 classification to a Class 5 classification.
