ORDINANCE #O4-23 <br /> <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> AMENDMENT TO CHAPTER 9 OF <br /> THE CITY CODE, WHICH CHAPTER IS <br /> KNOWN AS THE ZONING AND SUBDIVI- <br /> SION OF LAND CHAPTER OF THE CITY <br /> CODE. <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SEC- <br /> TIONS 9.11.01 OF CITY CODE CREATING <br /> A VISION CLEARANCE TRIANGLE AT <br /> INTERSECTIONS WITHIN CITY STREETS. <br /> The City of Ramsey ordains: <br /> SECTION I AUTHORITY <br /> This ordinance is adopted pursuant to <br /> and under the authority of the charter of <br /> the City of Ramsey. <br /> SECTION 2. SUMMARY OF ORD!: <br /> NANCE <br /> This ordinance establishes triangular <br />area adjacent to the intersection of city <br />streets, alleys and commercial driveways <br />which shall be subject to certain restric- <br />tions to enhance the visibility and safety <br />for traffic. The ordinance identifies the <br />type of elements which are allowed or <br />prohibited within the triangle and <br />restricts parking along curb lines lying <br />within the triangle area. Provisions are <br />included in the ordinance which provide <br />for exceptions and waivers of its provi- <br />sions by the City Engineer. Tile Public <br />Works Committee shall render the final <br />decision on appeals regarding waivers <br />and exemptions. <br />SECTION 3. EFFECTIVE DATF <br /> Tile effective date o1' this Ordinance is <br />thirty (30) days after its passage and pub- <br />lication, subject to City Charter Section <br />5.07. <br /> PASSED by the City Council of the <br />City of Ramsey, Minnesota, this the 8th <br />day of June, 2004. <br />Thomas G.
