Councilman Cox said he Would be discussing the CORONA Meeting at
Ham Lake and a dangerous dog situation in Countryside Estates
during the Mayor and Council Input.

Motion by Councilman Sorteberg, seconded by Councilman Pearson,
to approve the agenda with the additional items as suggested by
Administrator Hartley.

Motion carried. Voting yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Cox,
DeLuca, Pearson and Sorteberg. Voting no: None. Absent: None.

Case ~1: Review Bids for Hunter's Hill Street Improvement

Engineer Raatikka explained that nine bids were received for the
Hunter's Hill street improvement. The low bidder, Ideal Paving,
Inc. is approximately 2.9% below the engineer's estimate. They
did, however, fail to include the ditch cleaning in their bid.
Engineer Raatikka stated the Council could still award the bid
and waive that formality since it is a minor item and Ideal
Paving has agreed to complete the project, including the ditch
cleaning, at the same amount bid.

Mayor Reimann questioned their "track record". Engineer Raatikka
explained they have done several jobs for the City this summer,
with no problems.

Councilman Cox stated the City is quite strict about complying
with the bid specifications. Engineer Raatikka didn't feel this
was a problem since Ideal Paving is willing to complete the
project for the same price they bid.

Administrator Hartley explained the quantities are only estimates
and if they increase, Ideal Paving still has to provide the ditch
cleaning for zero dollars per foot. The City will have an
a~reement that confirms those conditions.

Motion by Councilman Cox, seconded by ~ ~'
~ You .... ±man DeLuca, for the
adoption of Resolution ~87-2z7 ~=~ ~ Bids and
_ ._, a ....... ~ion Recei-~
Awarding Contract for Street Improvements in Hunter's Hill
(~oject~_ ~87-23) to id~=~_ Paving, inc. in ~= amount of
$43,224.00.

Motion carri~d~ .
