action on Mr. Franklin's request to construct advertising signs on Hwy. ~I0 <br />until the Highway ~10 Corridor Study has been completed and reviewed by <br />City Council. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Councilmember DeLuca explained to Mr. Franklin that <br />Council wants to wait until the Hwy. ~10 study is completed in order to be <br />able to make a better judgement for Ramsey. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Cox, <br />DeLuca and Pearson. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #4: Request For Final Plat Approval Of Minor Subdivision~ Case Of <br /> Mr. David Mickelson: <br /> <br />Mr. Mickelson was present. <br /> <br />Councilmember Cox noted that Mr. Mickelson has satisfied Council's concern <br />with limiting accesses onto county roads. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Councilmember Pearson to adopt <br />Resolution #87-161 approving the minor subdivision request of Mr. Dave <br />Mickelson. (Refer to resolution file for Resolution 4/87-161). <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Cox, <br />DeLuca and Pearson. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />C_~ REquest For Conditional Use Permit To Sell Handcrafted I~C~ <br /> And Collectibles From Home: Case Of Ms. Mary Ellen Walsh: <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley stated that Ms. Walsh is requesting a conditional use permit to <br />sell handcrafted items from her home; Planning and Zoning recommended <br />approval of the request. <br /> <br />Mr. Walsh was present. <br /> <br />Councilmember Cox noted that there are craft stores in the area that are <br />operating in commercial areas; allowing businesses to operate from homes <br />discredits the marketing situation of those carrying the tax base. <br />Councilmember Cox stated that he also doesn't feel it is appropriate to <br />entertain the idea of retail sales in a home located on a high traffic <br />thoroughfare. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Councilmember DeLuca to adopt <br />Findings of Fact 0175 relating to Ms. Walsh's request for a conditional use <br />permit. (Refer to findings of fact file for Findings of Fact 0175). <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Cox, <br />DeLuca and Pearson.
