RAMSEY AIRPORT ZONING

RESPONSE TO QUESTIONS DURING THE COMMENT
PERIOD AT THE JULY 29TH, 1987 PUBLIC HEARING

Mary Jo Sentyrz

Q. What will happen to her business in Zone B?

The existing use as a day care center will be allowed to continue.
No new expansion of the day care center or structure would be
permitted under the zoning ordinance. The day care business can
be sold as it exists today or the building can be sold for another
type of commercial use. Only those types of new uses which are
specifically prohibited under the Zone B restrictions would not be
prohibited under airport zoning.

Terry Bladholm

Two parties interested in their property, what would be permitted
on that property.

The specific property in question is currently undeveloped and is
situated 1300-1800' from the beginning of the approach surface in
Zone A. Upon adoption of the zoning ordinance no-new development
would be permitted on that parcel.

The parcel in question is recommended to be acquired under the
approved airport layout plan.

Mr. Duane Lundeen

Qe

Part of property (including structure) lies in Zone B and some in
Zone C and inquired how his property was affected.

Re

The majority (estimated at 70%) of the parcel is in Zone B and
approximately one-half of the structure is in Zone B. The
existing use would be allowed to continue under the airport zoning
ordinance. Further, only that portion of the property located in
Zone B is subject to the B zone restrictions. That portion of the
structure within the B zone could not be expanded. The portion
outside of the B zone could be expanded subject to the limitations
of height restrictions and the City's underlying commercial zoning
requirements.
