REQUEST FOR CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT TO ESTABLISH A <br />BITUMINOUS ASPHALT PLA~T IN THE I-1 INDUSTRIAL <br />DISTRICT; CASE OF COMMERCIAL ASP}LkLT COMPANY <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />Commercial Asphalt Company is requesting a conditional use permit to <br />establish a commercial asphalt bituminous plant on the southeast 20 acres <br />of the old Prestressed Concrete property. This property is located in the <br />I-1 Industrial district. Access to the asphalt operation will be from <br />County Road No. 116 and U.S. Highway 10. <br /> <br />The plant will be in operation from April through October for approximately <br />9 hours each day. Representatives of Commercial have stated that they <br />estimate the asphalt operations to generate approximately 15 trucks per <br />hour to and from the site. The towers for the operation will be <br />approximately 35 feet in height. <br /> <br />For your information, enclosed are the following items: <br /> <br />a) Application <br />b) Site location map <br />c) Letter dated August 24, 1987 from Joe and Mary Jo Sentyrz <br /> <br />Observations: <br /> <br />The Planning and Zoning Commission conducted a public hearing on this <br />request on September 1.
