Councilmember LeTourneau introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION #16-06-113 <br /> RESOLUTION TO HIRE A TEMPORARY ENGINEERING INTERN <br /> WHEREAS, annually the City employs Interns to work in Administrative Services, <br /> Community Development, Engineering, and Parks; and <br /> WHEREAS, staff has found a significant benefit to employing interns; and <br /> WHEREAS, staff selected the last Intern for the 2016 annual recruitment process; and <br /> WHEREAS,the candidate passed the pre-employment screening; and <br /> WHEREAS, staff recommends hiring the selected 2016 Engineering Intern listed below. <br /> NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> 1) Motion to adopt resolution 416-06-113 Mr. Jimmy Baxter as a Temporary Engineering <br /> Intern @ $12.00 per hour, effective on or near June 1, 2016. <br /> The motion of the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br /> Kuzma, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following in favor thereof: <br /> Mayor Strommen <br /> Councilmember LeTourneau <br /> Councilmember Kuzma <br /> Councilmember Johns <br /> Councilmember Riley <br /> Councilmember S@ock <br /> Councilmember Williams <br /> and the following voted against the same: <br /> None <br /> and the following abstained: <br /> None <br /> and the following were absent: <br /> None <br />
