CASE #1: <br /> <br /> REQUEST FOR VARIANCE FROM SECTION 170.016B OF THE CITY CODE <br /> TO CONSTRUCT AN ADDITION TO AN EXISTING STRUCTURE WHICH WILL <br />ENCROACH THE REQUIRED SIDE YARD SETBACK; CASE OF MR. JACK NEWCOMB <br /> By: Community Development Director Anne Norris <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />Mr. Jack Newcomb is requesting a variance from Section 170.016B of the City <br />Code to construct an addition to his existing house at 6301 Rivlyn Avenue <br />N.W. The existing house is located on the lot so that the west side yard <br />is approximately 6 feet. Section 170.016B of the City Code requires a side <br />yard of 10 feet. Mr. Newcomb is proposing to construct a 26' x 11.5' <br />addition tO the north side of the house.
