CASE #1: <br /> <br />REQUEST FOR VARIANCE FROM SECTION 170.015G OF THE CITY CODE <br />TO CONSTRUCT AN ACCESSORY STRUCTURE PRIOR TO CONSTRUCTION <br /> OF THE PRINCIPAL BUILDING; CASE OF MR. WAYNE SWEDAL <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />Mr. Wayne Swedal is proposing to construct a 22' x 24' accessory structure <br />on the vacant lot, which he owns, adjacent to his property at 14723 Bowers <br />Drive N.W. Mr. Swedal is proposing that the proposed accessory structure <br />would be the only structure on the lot and would be used for storage. <br />Section 170.0156 of the City Code states that no accessory structure shall <br />be constructed on any lot prior to the time of construction of the <br />principal building on that lot. <br /> <br />For your information, the following items are enclosed: <br /> <br />a) Application <br />b) Site location map <br />c) Proposed findings of fact <br />d) Proposed variance <br /> <br />Observations: <br /> <br />As Mr. Swedal's lot is within the Critical River Overlay District, John <br />Stine of the DNR has reviewed Mr. Swedal's request and has no objections to <br />the proposed accessory structure. <br /> <br />The Board conducted a public hearing on Mr. Swedal's request on July 2, <br />1987. At that time, the Board tabled action on Mr. Swedal's request and <br />requested that the City Attorney draft a covenant or other appropriate <br />document restricting the conveyance of the subject parcel until a principal <br />structure is constructed.
