PARENT COMPANY <br />By: Community Development Director Anne Norris <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />Mr. Parent of the A.J. Parent Company is requesting a variance from Section <br />170.076.24 of the City Code to encroach on the required setback from the Rum <br />River. Mr. Parent is proposing to construct a house on Lot 5, Block 1, Reilley <br />Estates 2nd Addition, which will be approximately 103 feet from the Rum River. <br />Section 170.076.24 of the City Code requires structures to be a minimum of 150 <br />feet from the Rum River. Mr. Parent is proposing to construct the house so <br />that it is set back approximately the same as structures on adjacent <br />properties. <br /> <br />For your information, the following items are enclosed: <br /> <br />a) Application <br />b) Site location map <br />c) Public hearing notice <br />d) Properties notified <br />e) Site plan <br />f) Proposed findings of fact <br />g) Proposed variance <br /> <br />Ob s ervat ions: <br /> <br />As the subject property is located in the Scenic River Overlay District, this <br />request is subject to DNR review.
