Ferry Street Bridge Travel Survey
Fnc~ Sheet

54% return indicates an interested public (10% to 15% is norm).

The returns represent 2.7% of the daily travel. Sample size in excess of
1% will yield statistically reliable results.

The weekday is the problem. The weekend is not as serious. This is
evidenced by lower percentage of return and more positive attitude survey
results for the weekend groups.

Over 80% of the trips in the corridor are work or shopping related. The
next largest trip purpose is school at 5%.

Medical related trip purpose is at 5% during the mid-day.

Based on statistical analysis the origins and destinations of significance
are: Anoka, Hennepin County, Champlin, Coon Rapids, Anoka County, Ramsey
and Brooklyn Park (ordered highest to lowest).

Half of the trips in the corridor are commuters (2 trips per day). The
remainder is equally split between infrequent and more frequent users.

Less than 1 of 10 travellers classify the corridor travel flow as 'Good' or
"Very Good". Two of 10 classify the traffic flow as "Adequate'. Seven of
10 users feel the traffic flow in the corridor is less than adequate.
