RESOLUTION # 04-06-XXX <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE POLICE DEPARTMENT' TO PURCHASE (1) <br />Laser Unit; (1) Doppler Radar; (1) LED Light Bar; (1) M-16 Rifle; and (5) Glock <br />Handguns; and (1) Vacuum Cleaner: <br /> <br />WHEREAS, staff has shoWn the need to replace (2) Doppler radars with a Laser Unit <br />and a new Doppler unit, available under State contract from Kustom Signals Inc for a <br />total of $ 5,67.0.99; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, staff has shown the need to replace an existing light bar with an LED unit <br />under State Contract from 911 EP for $ 2,400.00; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, staff has shown the need for an additional M-16 rifle @ $1,600.00 and the <br />addition of (5) standard issue Glock handguns @ $ 2,500.00 for pOlice duty use; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, staff has shown the need to replace a vacuum cleaner @ $ 425.00; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it has been determined that the above requested items can be funded with <br />existing money from the Equipment Replacement fund not to exceed $11,216.44. The <br />remaining $1,379.55 would come out of the Police vehicle capital account. Total of <br />purchases would be $12,595.99. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes the police department 4o pUrChase <br />(1) Laser Unit; (1) Doppler Radar; (1) LED Light Bar; (1) M-16 Rifle; and (5) Glock <br />Handguns & (1) Vacuum for the total of $12,595.99 utilizing funds from the Equipment <br />Replacement Fund not to exceed $11,216.44. The remaining <br />$1,379.55 would come out of the Police vehicle capital and line item. accounts. <br /> <br />The motion for adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by <br />Councilmember , and upon vote being taken thereon, <br /> <br />The following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />And the following voted against: <br /> <br />-93- <br /> <br /> <br />
