Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Strommen, Councilmembers LeTourneau, Johns, Kuzma, <br />Riley, Shryock, and Williams. Voting No: None. <br />8. MAYOR, COUNCIL AND STAFF INPUT <br />City Engineer Westby provided a brief update on the Andrie Street construction project. He <br />noted that the large amount of rain received on Saturday did have an impact on the construction <br />process. He stated that within an hour they notified the contractor who was then onsite to <br />remove the standing water. He stated that although the road was probably impassable for a few <br />hours there was a quick response time. He stated that curb was poured on the first phase of the <br />project today and noted that the driveway aprons and catch basins would be poured the following <br />day. He stated that the project is moving along well and noted that the project is on schedule to <br />move on to the next segment of the project in the next few weeks. He noted that residents can <br />request notification updates on the homepage of the City website. <br />Councilmember Kuzma asked if there are any updates on the train whistles. <br />City Engineer Westby provided an update on the whistle free zones and anticipated that Jarvis <br />could become a quiet zone later this year. <br />City Administrator Ulrich announced upcoming meetings and events. <br />Councilmember Riley announced that the following day is his wedding anniversary and wished <br />his wife a happy anniversary. <br />Mayor Strommen stated that the League of Minnesota Cities is recognizing Senator Jim Abeler <br />as a Legislator of Distinction. She stated that the City of Ramsey is excited that the League <br />recognized the qualities that the City has recognized. <br />9. ADJOURNMENT <br />Motion by Councilmember Kuzma, seconded by Councilmember Johns, to adjourn the meeting. <br />Motion carried. <br />The regular meeting of the City Council adjourned at 8:10 p.m. <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />Kurtis G.
