Police Chief Katers expressed the sincere gratitude of the support that the department received <br />following the horrific events in Dallas, Texas. He stated that the kind words and support help the <br />officers get through their toughest days. He stated that Tuesday, August 2nd is Night to Unite, <br />noting that the department is booked on party visits for that night. He stated that they are excited <br />to meet residents of the City. He stated that there are other ways to participate if your party has <br />not yet been registered. He stated that staff also met with Chuck Delaney today regarding the <br />Game Fair, noting that it will be the 35th year of the Game Fair which will take place the middle <br />two weekends of August. <br />Community Development Director Gladhill advised of a pilot partnership with Youth First that <br />could help alert the residents of Oak Terrace to the services available to them. He reported that <br />the EDA Golf Tournament scheduled for Tuesday, August 16tn <br />9.
