Voting No: None. <br /> <br />3) Appoint City Attorney, City f~gineer and City ~ealth Officer for 1987 - <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmsmber Cox and seconded by Councilmember DeLuca t° appoint <br />Mr. W~lliam Goodrich of Randall, Dehn and Goodrich as the City Attorney for <br />1987; Mr. Peter Raatikka of Hakanson Anderson Associates as the City <br />Engineer for 1987; and Dr. Ronald Jankowski as the Health Officer for 1987. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting NO: None. <br /> <br />4) Designate a delegate and an alternate for the Association of <br /> Metropolitan Municipalities (AMM) - <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Councilmember Pearson to <br />appoint Mr. David Hartley as the City's primary delegate and Mayor Reimann <br />as the City's alternate delegate to the Association of Metropolitan <br />Municipalities (AMM) <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Sorteberg, COx, <br />DeLuca and Pearson. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />5) Designate official depositories of City funds for calendar year 1987 - <br /> <br />Motion by Councilm~mber Cox and seconded by Councilmember Sorteberg to <br />adopt Resolution 987-2 designating the following institutions as official <br />depositories of City funds: The Northern Bank, Anoka, MN; First National <br />Bank of Anoka, Anoka, MN; First National Bank of Minneapolis, Mpls., MN; <br />Dain Bosworth, Inc.; American National Bank, Mpls. MN; Norwest Bank <br />Minneapolis N.A., Mpls., MN. (Please refer to resolution file for <br />Resolution 987-2). <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmsmbers Sorteberg, Cox, <br />DeLuca and Pearson. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />6) Appoint delegate to Joint Law Enforcement Council - <br /> <br />Councilmember Cox stated that he is willing to continue to serve on the <br />Joint Law Enforcement Council but he does not like it. It is an <br />organization predominantly run by goverrmm_nt employees to perpetuate their <br />c~n personal interests. Councilm~mber COx stated that if he continues to <br />serve on the Joint Law Enforosment Council, this City Council should review <br />the voting aspects of it. Joint Law Enforcement recently conducted two <br />meetings in one day to get their goals accomplished prior to the first of <br />the year; these actions took place without their respective city councils <br />knowing what the ramifications of those actions were. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Sorteberg and seconded by Councilmember DeLuca to <br />appoint Councilmember Cox as Ramsey's delegate to the Joint Law Enforcement <br />Council. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Councilmember Cox stated that he contends that the <br />Joint Law Enforcement Council is not representative of the voting public <br /> <br />Page 8 of 26 <br /> <br /> <br />
