The Ramsey City <br />Ramsey Municipal <br />Members Present: <br />Members Absent: <br />Also Present: <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />Council conducted a regular meeting on Monday, August 8, 2016, at the <br />Center, 7550 Sunwood Drive NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br />Mayor Sarah Strommen <br />Councilmember Jill Johns <br />Councilmember Mark Kuzma <br />Councilmember Melody Shryock <br />Councilmember Kristine Williams <br />Councilmember John LeTourneau <br />Councilmember Chris Riley <br />City Administrator Kurtis Ulrich <br />Police Chief Jeff Katers <br />Public Works Superintendent Grant Riemer <br />Community Development Director Timothy Gladhill <br />City Engineer Bruce Westby <br />Asst. City Administrator/Economic Development Manager Patrick Brama <br />Administrative Intern Shelby Eden <br />1. CALL TO ORDER <br />Mayor Strommen called the regular meeting of the Ramsey City Council to order at 7:00 p.m., <br />followed by the Pledge of Allegiance led by Mayor Strommen. <br />2. PRESENTATION <br />2.01: Receive CenterPoint Energy Community Partnership Grant <br />Steve Trutwin stated that he is a Ramsey resident and has been with CenterPoint Energy for 39 <br />years. He stated that since 2003, CenterPoint Energy has donated $1,380,000 to communities to <br />help promote safety. He presented the City with a check in the amount of $2,500 which will be <br />used to purchase Automatic External Defibrillators. <br />2.02: 2016 Happy Days Festival <br />Shelby Eden provided an update on the Happy Days Festival which will occur on Saturday, <br />September 10th. She reviewed a schedule of events and highlighted some of the new and <br />growing events. She stated that staff is working on a balanced budget for the event once again <br />City Council / August 8, 2016 <br />Page 2 of 7 <br />
