26. Please elaborate on anything related to the Ramsey
COR Development Plan.
assistance I
children
business
appears
Jic
accessible activities
active
apologies
businesses
buildings apartments
attempting
Count Response
L
a
1 1. Safety needs to be prioritized, sight triangles, deep sto rmwater ponds accessible to small children. 2. "Mixed
use" needs to be clearlydefined for COR 1. It appears to be ignored.
1 A lotof thatwill depend upon how much land is used for surface parking vs. ramps, and how many buildings are
single level vs. multi- level.
1 A restaurantor two and some weekend activities mightdrawpeople in. I'm sure that's in the works, but I'm sure
it's hard to get businesses to investiftheydon'tsee an immediate return.
1
lam a brand new Board member. As such, lam notversed enough to be able to answer these questions quite
yet. (would prefer to have a little more exposure to the issues before attempting to answer these questions. My
apologies.
1 I really appreciate the invitation to have this plan reviewed by a wide cross section of o u r community.
1
The City in general does not have substantial policies or plans to conserve water use, run-off, or our continued
water supply long term. Given the recentevaluations of similar communities such as White Bear Lake, we
should begin to evaluate our needs now before we fullydevelopthe city to ensure we don't need assistance in
bailing outour water infrastructure.
1 There needs to be a taskforce--a subgroup to the comp plan group --to lookonlyatthe COR.
1 We are going in the rightdirection. We need to continue to workwith experienced professionals to guide the
staff and commissions with our planning.
1
We should keep our eye on making the COR desirable for retail and business, so would like to see more market
rate housing/apartments of a qualitythatwill draw in retailers. !also believe that senio r or 50+ housing and/or
independent active senior apartments are needed and agap in our overall housing stock.
30
