CASE #6: <br /> <br />INFOR~TION ITEMS <br /> <br />On August 25, 1987, the City Council approved a request from the Park <br />and Recreation Commission to construct a baseball diamond in Central <br />Park with the City supplying the materials and using volunteer labor <br />to construct the diamond. <br /> <br />For your information, enclosed is a letter dated August 28, 1987 from <br />the Minnesota Department of Trade and Economic Development granting <br />preliminary approval to the City's application for LAWCON funds to <br />develop athletic fields in River's Bend Park. The trails portion of the <br />City's application for funds did not receive preliminary approval. <br /> <br /> <br />
