Commissioner introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION #16-08-152 <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING THE ISSUANCE OF A VARIANCE TO ALLOW A <br /> DETACHED ACCESSORY BUILDING TO EXCEED THE MAXIMUM ALLOWABLE <br /> MEAN GABLE HEIGHT. <br /> WHEREAS, Jason and Susan Nordquist (Permittee) have properly applied for a variance <br /> from Sections 117-349 (Accessory Uses and Structures) of the Ramsey City Code to construct a <br /> detached accessory building that exceeds the maximum allowable mean gable height of sixteen <br /> (16) feet on the property generally known as 8855 176th Avenue NW and legally described as <br /> follows: <br /> Lot 1, Block 1, Countryside Estates. <br /> (Subject Property). <br /> AND WHEREAS,the Planning Commission conducted a public hearing on September 1, <br /> 2016, pursuant to Section 117-53 of the Ramsey City Code, and adopted findings of fact relating <br /> to the request for a variance. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY,ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> 1. That based on Findings of Fact 90965, a variance (the "Variance") to allow a detached <br /> accessory building to exceed the maximum allowable mean gable height is hereby granted. <br /> 2. That the height of the detached accessory building shall not exceed twenty-two (22) feet. <br /> 3. That the sidewall height of the detached accessory building shall not exceed fourteen(14) feet. <br /> 4. That the detached accessory building shall have a 4:12 roof pitch,as proposed by the Applicant. <br /> 5. That the detached accessory building shall comply with all other applicable Zoning, Building, <br /> and Fire Code standards. <br /> 6. That the Permittee agrees that there will not be any commercial activities within the detached <br /> accessory building unless in full compliance with City Code Section 117-351 (Home <br /> Occupations). <br /> 7. The Permittee shall be responsible for all costs incurred in administering and enforcing this <br /> Variance. <br /> 8. That this Variance shall automatically expire if the use is not initiated by October 1,2017, and <br /> issuance of the building permit shall constitute initiation. <br />
