Chairperson Steffen asked if permanent green space is a possibility or do they need to have <br /> flexibility to do something. <br /> Mr. Lenhoff stated there is a solution to avoid speculative thought. He stated there is definitely a <br /> solution that can work and speaking to the green space side, he would love having green space <br /> and thought it would look nice. He stated they will do whatever is the best use for the property <br /> and they want to have development there. <br /> Member Riley thought a good discussion would involve development on the entire property. He <br /> stated there is actually a lot of green space around this property. <br /> Member Skaff asked if there is another option to sell them a portion of this parcel with an option <br /> for AEON to expand in the future. He stated he would support that. <br /> Chairperson Steffen asked if half of the proposed parcel would be ready for development. <br /> Mr. Lenhoff stated they would like to have an option on the"green space" are for expansion. <br /> Chairperson Steffen stated he loved the mission and the history of the projects previously worked <br /> on by Aeon. He indicated he would like the discussion to continue and have staff and Aeon <br /> work on some of the contingencies. <br /> Motion by Member Skaff, seconded by Member Burandt, to recommend City Council approve <br /> the attached purchase agreement between Aeon Portfolio II, LLC and the City of Ramsey for <br /> 3.38 acres of land located in The COR; subject to changes by the City Attorney with the <br /> contingencies discussed. <br /> Further discussion: Member Hardin asked if the motion included splitting the lot or some kind <br /> of a development plan for the other half of the lot. Chairperson Steffen indicated that was a <br /> possibility, or whatever the two parties may come up with. <br /> Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Steffen, Members Skaff, Burandt, Hardin, Riley, and <br /> Williams. Voting No: None. Absent: Member Brunt. <br /> 4.03: Coastal Living Purchase Agreement for OUTLOT A of Ramsey Town Center 8th <br /> Addition <br /> Economic Dev. Mgr/Assistant City Administrator Brama presented the staff report. <br /> Mr. Gleason made a presentation to the EDA. <br /> Chairperson Steffen asked if Mr. Gleason is also the builder or does he work with builders. <br /> Mr. Gleason stated he is an independent contractor and does not want to be involved in the <br /> building but he will be involved and handling the design all the way through the project.
