6. BOARD/STAFF INPUT <br /> City Planner Anderson noted the Spring Recycling Event went much smoother than in previous <br /> years. This year, residents were able to pay at the entrance, which helped move vehicles through <br /> the event quicker. He didn't get an accurate count of vehicles this time so he would have to gauge <br /> the participation more so on the tonnages reported. He said he may introduce a summer drop off, <br /> if the needs warrant it. <br /> City Planner Anderson gave a recap of an Arbor Day planting with the Park and Recreation <br /> Commission at the Brookfield development. Some of the neighboring residents attended the <br /> planting. <br /> City Planner Anderson noted the rain barrel and compost bin distribution event will take place on <br /> May 20. The event will take place at the same place the recycling event was held, at the Public <br /> Works Facility on Jaspar Street. <br /> Chairperson Stodola announced Board Member Lewis will be leaving the EPB. He thanked Board <br /> Member Lewis for his work, stating he left the Board in a better place than he started. <br /> 7.
