Public Works Committee 6. 1. <br /> Meeting Date: 05/17/2016 <br /> By: Bruce Westby,Engineering/Public <br /> Works <br /> 'Title: <br /> Staff Updates on Improvement Projects and Items of Interest <br /> Purpose/Background: <br /> The purpose of this case is to update the Public Works Committee on active and proposed improvement projects <br /> within the City, and on other items of interest to the Committee as noted below. <br /> MnDOT Improvement Projects <br /> •TH 47 at 142nd Avenue <br /> •Remove left turns from southbound TH 47 to eastbound 142nd Avenue <br /> •Construction proposed to occur this fall <br /> Anoka County Improvement Projects <br /> •US 10& CR 83/Armstrong Boulevard Interchange <br /> •Traffic signals fully operational May 23rd(after all lanes are opened to traffic) <br /> •Llama Street access to Highway 10 is closed <br /> •Westbound median crossover at Traprock Street is closed <br /> •May 20th -Ribbon cutting ceremony @ 11 AM <br /> •Late May-Project completion <br /> •CR 83/Armstrong Boulevard Pavement Reclamation and Overlay—150th Lane to 173rd Avenue <br /> •Pavement to be reclaimed and overlaid with 4"new pavement <br /> •Bypass lanes added at 154th, 157th,and 163rd Avenues <br /> •Right turn lanes added at 155th and Tiger Avenues <br /> •Work will not interfere with Game Fair event <br /> •Project schedule TBD <br /> •CR 116/Bunker Lake Boulevard Pavement Reclamation and Overlay—Ramsey Boulevard to Basalt <br /> Street <br /> •Pavement to be reclaimed and overlaid with 4"new pavement <br /> •Considering striping for left turns to Azurite Street from westbound CR 116 <br /> •Project schedule TBD <br /> City Improvement Projects <br /> •Business Park 95 Regional Stormwater Pond Improvements <br /> •May 24th-Council considers approving plans&authorizing bids <br /> •Rerouting storm sewer through green areas to save costs <br /> • Summer/fall construction(dry season) <br /> •Andrie Street& 164th Lane Reconstruction <br /> •May 17th -Bids opened <br /> •May 24th-Council considers accepting bids &awarding contract <br /> •Construction proposed to begin early June 2016 <br /> •Project completion proposed by early October 2016 <br /> •2016 Overlay Project <br /> • Sunwood Drive - Sunfish Lake Blvd. to bridge 0.25 mile west of CSAH 5 <br /> •June 14th-Council considers approving plans&authorizing bids <br /> •July 26th-Council considers accepting bids&awarding contract <br /> •Construction proposed to begin early August <br />
