The Commission interviewed the following applicants: <br /> <br />Jill Prall - Stated she currently serves as RYAA vice president. Ms. Prall <br />stated that she feels Ramsey's parks are not be used to the fullest extent <br />possible. If appointed to the Commission, she would like to organize the <br />scheduling of athletic fields. <br /> <br />Dale Henderson - Stated he is new to the area but he has a knowledge of <br />land use and has taken classes in park development. <br /> <br />Corrine Orvis - Stated she has lived in Ramsey for 7 years and enjoys parks <br />and camping. <br /> <br />Discussion Re~ardin~ Vacancy. On The~Commission: <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Hetland and seconded by Commissioner Rustad to <br />recommend that City Council appoint Ms. Jill Prall to serve on the Ramsey <br />Park and Recreation Commission for a term to expire October 31, 1987~ <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Lichter, Commissioners Hetland, <br />Rustad and Johnson. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioners Lokker and <br />Shumway. <br /> <br />The consensus was that a discussion regarding the status of Commissioners <br />Shumway and Lokker, as it relates to their meeting attendance and their <br />desire to continue to serve on the Commission, will be placed on the next <br />meeting agenda. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF PARK AND RECREATION COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Johnson and seconded by Commissioner Hetland to <br />approve regular Park and Recreation Commission meeting minutes dated May <br />14, 1987. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: <br />Hetland and Johnson. Voting No: <br />Lichter. <br /> <br />Chairman Lichter, Commissioners Rustad, <br /> None. Absent: Commissioners Shumway and <br /> <br />Case #3: Discussion Re~ardin~ 1988 Budget And 5 Year Capit~l <br /> Improvement Plan For Parks: <br /> <br />The Commission reviewed information provided regarding past budgets and <br />capital improvement plans for parks. The Commission requested that for the <br />next meeting, information be provided regarding proposed figures and actual <br />expenditures for the 1986 and 1987 budget and capital improvement plan. <br />Also, that a format be provided which the Commission can work from in <br />preparing figures for the 1988 budget and capital improvement plan. <br /> <br />Case ~4; Discussion ReEardin~' Trails': <br /> <br />The Commission tabled this case. <br /> <br />Park & Recreation/June 18, 1987 <br /> <br />Page 2 of 3 <br /> <br /> <br />
