Motion by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Councilmember Pearson to <br />approve Mr. Randy Dryden's request for a minor subdivision based the <br />recommendation of Planning and Zoning. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Pearson, Cox <br />and DeLuca. Voting No: None. Absent: Councilmember Sorteberg. <br /> <br />MAYOR AND COUNCIL INPUT <br /> <br />Mayor Reimann noted that Anoka Councilmember Don Melrose has suffered a <br />heart attack. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Councilmember Pearson to send <br />a card and flowers to Mr. Don Melrose of Anoka City Council. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Pearson, Cox <br />and DeLuca. Voting No: None. Absent: Councilmember Sorteberg. <br /> <br />Mayor Reimann noted that former Mayor Heitman's son passed away and he has <br />authorized staff to send flowers to the funeral home. <br /> <br />Mayor Reimann stated that he has received a letter from Mrs. Peggy Perkins <br />regarding her concern for no traffic control signs at 173rd Avenue NW and <br />Baugh Street NW. Mayor Reimann directed staff to inform her of pending <br />County public hearings and improvements to 173rd (Cty. Rd. 63). <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley noted that the Transportation Subcommittee of the County Board <br />did officially introduce Ramsey's resolution requesting a safety study of <br />Cry. Rd. #56 to the County Board. The County Board directed the County <br />Engineer to respond to Ramsey regarding Cry. Rd. #56. <br /> <br />Councilmember Cox stated that he talked to Captain Green at the Weigh <br />Station and they are only weighing frequent users of the highway. <br />Councilmember Cox stated that he asked the Captain to refrain from issuing <br />misdemeanor tickets that the City cannot afford to prosecute. <br /> <br />Mayor Reimann stated that he has received another letter of application <br />from Donald Holmberg to serve on the Fire Department Research Committee. <br /> <br />Council recessed at 8:37 p.m. <br /> <br />Mayor Reimann called the meeting back to order at 8:50 p.m. <br /> <br />Case #2: AD~rove Plans And Set Date To Receive Bids For The ExtensioD <br /> Of Sewer And Water To The Industrial Area: <br /> <br />City Engineer Raatikka reported that staff has met with DNR, MN/DoT and all <br />affected property owners regarding the proposed alignment for the extension <br />of sewer and water and the Front Street extension; everyone is agreeable to <br />what is proposed. <br /> <br />Councilmember DeLuca suggested that developing an MSA road through the <br />Eggam/Spone property be reconsidered at this time now that municipal <br />Sp.
