PROCEEDINGS OF CITY COUNCIL <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> AN OKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a special meeting on Tuesday, October 13, <br />1987 at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., Eamsey, <br />Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Gary Reimann <br />Councilmember Arnie Cox <br />Councilmember A1 Sorteberg <br />Councilmember Steve DeLuca <br />Councilmember A1 Pearson <br /> <br />City AJministrator David Hartley <br />City Attorney William Goodrich <br />Consulting Engineer Merland Otto/Hakanson Anderson <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Reimann called the special City Council meeting to order at 7:33 p.m. <br />and led in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />Barbara Graen - 7321 150th Lane - Inquired if she should address the <br />airport issue at this time or when Council discusses it as Case 91 on <br />tonight's agenda. <br /> <br />Mayor Keimann replied that during Case 91, Council will set aside a 10 <br />minute comment period each for those opposed and those in favor of the <br />airport. <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley noted that Council could schedule a special meeting on the <br />airport issue if a 20 minute comment period is found to be insufficient. <br /> <br />Sheila Hoffard - 17110 Driscoll - Stated that a neighbor's dog has attacked <br />and killed her dog; this dog on previous occasions has also attacked her <br />dog which resulted in a $200 veterinary bill and has bitten a child. Ms. <br />Hoffard stated she has a deaf child and often has other deaf children at <br />her home and she fears for their safety as the owner of the dog ignores the <br />leash law. Ms. Eoffard s~a~ed that she has filed criminal charges against <br />the owner of the dog; she has fenced in her yard but the dog jumps the <br />fence; the owner cf the dog weu!d n~ agree to muzzle the animal. <br /> <br />Mr. Goodrich stated that criminal charges have been filed based cn F~msey's <br />ordinance regarding running at large; there is no law in Ramsey that says <br />the dog may be taken away from the o%~er; the Eoffards may be able to get a <br />restraining order. <br /> City Council/October 13, 1987 <br /> <br />Page 3 cf 1 8 <br /> <br /> <br />
