Rennet and Sons in the amount of $12,188.87. <br /> <br />8) Accept petition opposing street improvements to Collins Drive NW and <br /> Beatty Avenue ~W in Itasca Heights. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: ~ayor Reimann, Counc~rs Sorteberg, Cox, <br />DeLuca and Pearson. Voting No: None. Abstain: Councilmember Cox is <br />abstaining to approval of the March 10, 1987 City Council public hearing <br />minutes regarding proposed store sewer improvements to the Mississippi <br />Storm Sewer Taxing District, the March 10, 1987 regular City Council <br />meeting minutes and the March 11, 1987 Airport Zoning Board lx~hlic hearing <br />mcc~ting minutes. <br /> <br />COUNCIL BUSINESS <br /> <br />~ Pr _oposal Of Waste Management Of Minnesota. Inc. <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley noted that staff has prepared an analysis of Waste Management <br />of Minnesota, Inc.'s proposal both from the City's standpoint and from <br />Waste Management's standpoint. Those analyses were hand-delivered to <br />Council March 24, 1987. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilma~ber Cox and seconded by Councilmember Sorteberg to <br />table this case until the S~ecial Council meeting of March 31, 1987 in <br />order to allow Council sufficient time to review the analysis of Waste <br />Management of Minnesota, Inc.'s proposal regarding .certain considerations <br />in exchange for support of the vertical expansion request. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, CouncilOrs Sorteberg, COx, <br />DeLuca and Pearson. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case %22-. Ordirmnce l~{~egardinq ~ Display Of Adult Video Cassettes: <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley noted that City Attorney Goodrich has drafted an ordinance that <br />would establish controls for the display and rental of adult video <br />cassettes to minors. Councilma~ber DeLuca has also provided additional <br />information on the subject adopted by the State and other communities. <br /> <br />Mayor Reimann stated that he thinks the suppliers of adult videos have <br />heard of Council's recent discussions and are beginning to polic <br />thenselves. <br /> <br />Councilmember DeLuca stated that he feels the ordinance drafted by Mr. <br />Goodrich should also incorporate scme of the regulations contained in State <br />and other ccanunity ordinances and resolutions. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Councilmember Sorteberg <br />directing Councilmember DeLuca to work with City Staff to redraft an <br />ordinance to regulate display and distribution of pornographic material and <br />to advise the affected suppliers of the City's intentions. <br /> <br />City Council/March 24, 1987 <br /> <br />Page 8 of 22 <br /> <br /> <br />
