~ .(2~nsider Amendment To Zoning Map Rezoning Property From R-1R <br /> ~ural ~idential To Ri-U Urban B~sidential: <br /> <br />Commissioner Deemer stated that this rezc~tng is an e~ercise in futility as <br />the property ts destined for develounent with sewer and water and will <br />automatically receive urban designation which allows develof~ent at an <br />even greater density than R1-U. <br /> <br />Mr. SchauN~urg stated that the current zoning is like a ~oke screen; would <br />like it shown in black and white that it can developed with at least one <br />m~it/acre and more with sewer and water. <br /> <br />Motio~ by Commissioner Howell and seconded by Commissioner Shumwa¥ to <br />rec~mm, nd that the City adopt an ordinance rezoning the 13 acre parcel from <br />the existing R-IR Residential to the R1-U Urban Residential district. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Xes: Chairman Peterson; Omm~issioners Zimmeman, <br />Sh~m~ay, LaDue, ~owell and Hendriksen. V~ing No: None. <br /> <br />Request For A Conditional Use Permit To Store Vehicles And <br /> _0~erate An Ant~Nobile Sales Business In The RB Rural Business <br /> District At 9457 ~wv. $10 N.W.: Case Of Charles Christian: <br /> <br />Ms. Norris stated that the City Attorney is currently drafting ordinance <br />wording that will specify blacktop and concrete surfaces of parking and <br />driveway areas; for this conditional use permit, it is reco~me~ that the <br />Commission require blacktop or concrete. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Shumway and seconded by Commissioner Howell to <br />recommend adoption of the findings of fact, ~ as follows, relating to <br />Mr. Charles Christian's request for a conditional use permit: <br /> <br />Item %8 to read as follows: 'That the forage of vehicles will not be <br />detrimental or unduly dangerous to persons working or residing in the <br />area.
