Voting 1~o: None. <br /> <br />Case ~2.. l~qu_ est To Establish Development And Tax Increment Financing <br /> Districts: Case Of Mr. Robert M~er: <br /> <br />Mr. ~obert Muller was present to review his request for establishment of <br />Develolmmmt and Tax Increment Districts with the Commission. Mr. Muller <br />proposes to develop a strip c~mm~rcial center south of 167th and west of <br />St. Francis Blvd. and is requesting City participation in site <br /> <br />Ms. Norris noted that the Economic Develolm~nt Cc~mission has recommended <br />approval of Mr. Muller's request and inclusion of all Rural Business <br />property in that area in the Develolm~ent District. Planning and Zoning <br />should be reviewing Mr. FA~ller's request as it relates to land use and the <br /> <br />City's Comprehensive Plan. <br /> <br />Motion by Ccmmissi~r Shum~ay and seconded by Ommissioner Hendriksen to <br />recommend approval of the request to establish development and tax <br />increment financing districts and request by Robert Muller for City <br />participation in the proposed develolmmnt, with the level of participation <br />to he detemdned by City Com~cil and City staff. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Commissioner Zimeman stated that the proposed <br />develoImm, nt is oonsistent with the City's Comprehensive Plan and Zoning <br />Ordinances. <br /> <br />l~mndment by Chaiman Peterson and seconded by Commissioner Howell to <br />r~ that the Develolmmmt District inc/ude all Rural Business property <br />in the general vicinity of Mr. Muller's proposed develofment amd that only <br />Mr. ]~ller's proposed development area be included in the Tax Increment <br />Financing District. <br /> <br />/~mdment carried.
