Wayne Boutain - Requested the police also do some monitoring on 150th also; <br />there has been a lot of wreckless driving in that area; on one occasion an <br />officer witnessed careless driving while at the Boutain home on other <br />business and said he couldn't do anything about it; on other occasions the <br />officers have said they can't do anything unless they witness the crime. <br /> <br />Bob Miller - 14726 Ramsey Blvd. - Inquired if the airport plans to re-route <br />Cty. Rd. #116 would include any stop signs; that would eliminate half the <br />problems. <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley - Stated that he and Council are very aware and share resident <br />concerns; the resolution just adopted is requesting action; this is not the <br />last time this issue will be discussed and Council, staff and residents <br />will have a part in offering suggestions on safety improvements. The <br />people doing the study are trained to do a good job of making roads safe; <br />the results of the investigation will be published in the Ramsey Resident <br />Newsletter. <br /> <br />Janice Peterka - Inquired how a neighborhood goes about getting stop signs. <br /> <br />Mayor Reimann replied that residents can petition for stop signs; Council <br />can then request the Police Department to do a study and evaluate the <br />request. <br /> <br />Councilmember Cox suggested that the concerned residents also approach the <br />County Board when it addresses Ramsey's resolution. That meeting date and <br />time will be posted at Tom Thumb. <br /> <br />Letter To Minnesota Pollution Control Agency Re~ardin? <br /> ?rQposal Of Waste Management Of Minnesota. Inc.: <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Councilmember Pearson approving <br />the letter drafted requesting PCA, Anoka County and Metro Council concept <br />approval of development of a ski/sledding hill at the landfill. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Cox, <br />DeLuca and Pearson. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Adopt Resolution Orderin? Improvement And Preparation of Plans <br /> ~_er The Extension Of Sewer And Water To The Industrial Amea Of <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Councilmember DeLuca to adopt <br />Resolution #87-74 ordering improvement and preparation of plans for the <br />extension of sewer and water to the Industrial area of Ramsey. (Please <br />refer to resolution file for Resolution #87-74). <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Cox, <br />DeLuca and Fearson.
