Bequ_ est For Metes And Bounds Subdivision: Case Of Mr. William <br /> <br />Ms. Norris stated that Mr. & Mrs. William Loucks are requesting a metes and <br />bounds subdivision of a 37 acre paroel to split the four acre farmstead on <br />the east side of State ~ighway ~47 from the rest of the parcel located on <br />the west side of State ~ighway ~47. Planning and Zoning Commission <br />recommended approval of the subdivision as it separates the property at a <br />natural boundary created by State ~ighway ~47. <br /> <br />Motion by Counc~r Cox and seconded by Councilmsmber DeLuca to approve <br />Mr. and Mrs. William Loucks' request for a metes and bounds subdivision. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Councilm~nber COx stated the basis for this metes and <br />bounds subdivision is that the highway has already created a parcel split. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Re//mm%n, Councilmsmbers Sorteberg, Cox, <br />DeLuca and Pearson. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case%7.. Request For Metes And Bounds Subdivision: Case Of Mr.. Joe] <br /> <br />Ms. Norris stated that Council granted Mr. Thomsen approval to subdivide <br />into *mo 8 acre paroels in December; Mr. Thorsen is requesting revising the <br />split to one 3 acre and one 13 acre parcel to better suit a prospective <br />buyer. Planning and Zoning recommends approval of the revised metes and <br />bounds subdivision provided both parcels share a common access to County <br />Road ~5. <br /> <br />Councilm~nber Cox stated that there should also be an east/west easement <br />provided for future access. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilms~ber Cox and seconded by Councilmember Sorteberg to <br />approve Mr. Joel Thomsen's request for a metes and bounds subdivision <br />contingent upon a 66 foot easement being provided along the southern <br />boundary of the 3 acre parcel and that homes constructed on the parcels <br />will utilize that easement as a common access to County Road #5. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Councilmember Cox asked Mr. Thomsen if he had any <br />questions and Mr. Thcmsen replied that he did not. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
