Chairperson Johns asked how long it will take to get this information to LHB for a completed <br />Plan. She thought they were going to present this to the Council next month. She asked if they <br />could give a partial to the Council. Parks/Utilities Supervisor Riverblood stated they each have a <br />days worth of work to finish this and he was not sure exactly when they could get this completed <br />to give to the Commission. <br /> <br />Alpine Park Discovery Garden <br /> <br />Parks/Utilities Supervisor Riverblood reviewed the layoUt of the park and discussed what they <br />would like to have in the park. <br /> <br />Parks/Utilities Supervisor Riverblood stated the playground will be made out of wood and they <br />are looking to see what recyclable materials could be used. <br /> <br />The Commission discussed handicapped accessibility and skateboard deterrence's for the park. <br /> <br />Chair John asked how far along are they on this. Parks/Utilities Supervisor Riverblood stated <br />Ms. Regina Flanagan who was hired to help on this, is working with the school and others to <br />develop this. <br /> <br />Chairperson Johns asked if this will be brought to the June Joint meeting with the City Council. <br />Parks/Utilities Supervisor Riverblood stated he would because he thought they all needed to look <br />at this together. <br /> <br />Parks/Utilities Supervisor Riverblood stated the cost for this park will be around $120,000. <br />Some of this will be funded by core money and recycling dollars. <br /> <br />Elmcrest Park <br /> <br />Civil Engineer II Linton stated the City Council approved going out to bid for Elmcrest Park. <br />They are putting out the main road that goes through. He showed on the map Elmcrest Park and <br />discussed the trail connection with the Commission. <br /> <br />Civil Engineer II Linton stated they are working on getting a land easement for the trail along TH <br />#47. There will be around 300 parking spots around the park to begin with. He noted he will be <br />meeting with the consultant on Monday regarding the park. <br /> <br />Commissioner Olds asked if there were any updates on Traprock Park.
