On October 3 Anoka County will begin working on a pavement rehabilitation project on CSAR 83/Armstrong Boulevard between 150th Lane and 173rd Avenue. This project involves reclaiming the existing bituminous pavement (grinding it up and laying it back down again), compacting it, then paving 4" of new bituminous over the compacted reclaim base material. In addition, bypass lanes will be added at 154th, 157th, and 163rd Avenues, and right turn lanes will be added at 155th and Tiger Avenues. Armstrong Boulevard will remain open to traffic during construction but drivers should expect minor delays due to intermittent single lane closures. Work is estimated to take 5 weeks to complete, weather permitting, so work should be completed by late October or early November.
