COUNCIL NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #14: <br /> <br />Request For Variance To Subdivision Code; Case Of <br /> <br />Mr. Tom Rennet: <br /> <br />Mr. Berg stated that Mr. Renner is requesting a variance to the <br />platting procedure. <br /> <br />Mr. Goodrich stated that if a variance is granted, it must be <br />based on hardship. <br /> <br />Mr. Renner stated that the platting procedure does not present <br />a problem to him but it is a hardship to Mr. Kummala time wise; <br />Mr. Kurmnala is anxious to start construction. <br /> <br />Mr. Berg stated that there is nothing in the Ordinance that says <br />you can't have two commercial buildings on one commercial lot; <br />contingent the certificate of occupancy on Renner's completion <br />of the platting procedure. <br /> <br />Case #15: <br /> <br />Request For Variance To Setback Requirements; Case Of <br />Mr. Don Klohn: <br /> <br />Mr. Berg stated that Princess Printing wants to triple the amount <br />of business space which would include an expansion with a second <br />floor. Princess Printing is a non conforming use as the existing <br />building has a 32' setback to an existing street and ordinance <br />requires 40'; Princess Printing is requesting to expand with the <br />same setback which would require a Board of Adjustment. <br /> <br />Mr. Goodrich stated that construction must not begin prior to <br />a Board of Adjustment hearing being conducted. <br /> <br />Council suggested that Mr. Klohn make arrangements with City <br />Staff for a Board of Adjustment. <br /> <br />Council recessed at 9:40 p.m. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the meeting back to order at 9:49 p.m. <br /> <br />Case #1: <br /> <br />Authorizing The Declaring Of Surplus Property Th~ 1979 <br />Oldsmobile Delta 88 Sedan Car: <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Reimann and seconded by Councilmember <br />Schlueter to approve declaring the 1979 Oldsmobile Delta 88 <br />as surplus City property and advertise it for sale by bids. <br />Further, bids are to be received for the July 24, 1984 Council <br />meeting. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers <br />Sorteberg, Reimann and Schlueter. Voting No: None. Absent: <br />Councilmember Van Wagner. <br /> <br />Case #2: <br /> <br />Environmental Assessment Worksheet For Ramsey Second <br /> <br />~nterceptor: <br /> <br />Council noted receiving and reviewing the EAW for Ramsey Second <br />Interceptor. <br /> <br />C/June 26, 1984 <br /> <br /> <br />
