Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #8: <br /> <br />Widening Of Certain MSA Streets (Variolite Street NW <br />From 161st Avenue NW to l'7'3rd Avenue NWAnd' l'5]rd Avenue <br />NW from Nowthen Blvd. NW To St. Francis Blvd. NW) To <br />Provide For Bicycling Lanes: <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Van Wagner and seconded by Councilmember <br />Reimann to adopt Resolution #84-123 authorizing the City Engineer <br />to prepare a feasibility study on constructing bicycling lanes <br />on the following streets: <br /> <br />a) Variolite Street NW from 161st Avenue NW to 173rd Avenue NW <br /> <br /> b) 153rd Avenue NW from Nowthen Blvd. I~W to St. Francis Blvd. <br />(Please refer to resolution file for Resolution #84-123). <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Reimann, <br />Sorteberg, Schlueter and Van Wagner. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #9: Assessing: <br /> <br />Mr. Schnelle stated that there is not enough Staff time available <br />to accomplish a certain assessing project and coordinate the <br />City newsletter and requests Council authorization to hire a part- <br />time secretary on an as needed basis at a rate of $5.50/ hour. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Reimann and seconded by Councilmember <br />Van Wagner to adopt Resolution #84-124 approving the hiring of <br />Sylvia Frolik as a part-time secretary at a rate of $5.50/hour. <br />(Please refer to resolution file for Resolution #84-124). <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Mayor Gamec requested that the number of <br />hours of secretarial time required for the City newsletter be <br />changed from 4 to 8. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Reimann, <br />Sorteberg, Schlueter and Van Wagner. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #11: Engaging of Professionals To Represent City..!n Area Of <br /> Noise And PropertyI Appraisal In Regards To Landfill: <br /> <br />Mr. Schnelle explained that Planning and Zoning is requesting <br />additional information regarding noise levels at the landfill <br />and affect of landfill on adjacent property values. <br /> <br />Mr. Goodrich stated that City ordinance states that if additional <br />information is needed, the applicant is responsible for the <br />related costs, within reason. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Van Wagner and seconded by Councilmember <br />Schlueter to approve Planning and Zoning's request for additional <br />information regarding noise levels at the landfill and affect of <br />landfill on adjacent property values. <br /> <br />C/July 10, 1984 <br /> Page 6 of 13 <br /> <br /> <br />
