Motion by Councilmember Van Wagner and seconded by Councilmember <br />Sorteberg to adopt Resolution #84-.129 receiving feasibility report <br />on paving the shoulders of 153rd Avenue NW from County Road ~5 to <br />State Highway #47 and Variolite Street ~q north of i61st Avenue <br />(Please refer to resolution file for Resolution ~84-129). <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Counci!member Reimann inquired as to why the <br />shoulders are being paved. Councilmember Sorteberg replied that <br />the shoulders are being paved for bicycles. Mayor Gamec stated <br />that the street was improved according to funds available and it <br />was agreed that in the future there would be a widening, an overlay <br />and shoulders paved. City Engineer Raatikka stated that the <br />resolution is for widening, costs were not included for overlay. <br /> <br />Councilmember Van Wagner withdraws her motion to adopt Resolution <br />#84-129. <br /> <br />Councilmember Sorteberg withdraws his second to the motion. <br /> <br />Motion by Council~ember Sorteberg and seconded by Councilmember <br />Reimann to table this case until the next regular Council meeting. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Council requested an estimate that will <br />include overlay on 153rd Avenue; Council further directed the <br />City Engineer to review Variolite Street and if overlay is needed, <br />that should also be included in the cost estimate, <br /> <br />Motion carried. (Please refer to resolution file for Resolutic <br />#84-129). <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Councilmember Sorteberg stated that in <br />the near future, Council should obtain a report from the Airpor' <br />Commission in order to determine whether or not the project <br />seems feasible and the Master Plan should continue. City <br />Administrator Schnelle stated that the Commission has scheduled <br />a public meeting for August 22, 1984. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
