Voting No: None. <br /> <br />MISCELLANEOUS <br /> <br />Upgrading of County Road 983 - Mayor Gamec stated that he has had <br />a number of calls regarding County Road 983 and the need for <br />upgrading it as a safety measure for bikers on that road going to <br />Brooks Market and Central Park; Mayor Gamec stated that upgrading <br />County Road 983 should be moved up on the County's priority list <br />and he would like to see a County resolution to do so. <br /> <br />Commissioner Haas stated that County Road 983 has been included <br />in the County's plans for upgrading and she will let the City <br />know the exact date. <br /> <br />Case 95: <br /> <br />River's Bend Plat (A. Acceptance Of Legal Opinion <br />Regarding City Ordinance 984-4 From 'Bonding Attorney; <br />B. First Reading Of Ordinan'ce #84-6 To Amend Chapter <br />170.06 Of The City Code Entitled "Flood Plain Management"; <br />C. Acceptance Of River's Bend Final Plat; D. Authori- <br />zation Of Bid On Municipal Well No. 1): <br /> <br />a) <br /> <br />Acceptance Of Legal Opinion Regarding City, Ordinance #84-4 From <br />Bonding Attorney - <br /> <br />Council noted receiving legal opinion from Mr. Kennedy, City <br />bonding attorney, dated July 30, 1984. <br /> <br />b) <br /> <br />First Reading Of Ordinance #84-6 To Amend Chapter 170.06 Of <br />The City Code Entitled "Flood Plain Management" - <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Van Wagner and seconded by Councilmember <br />Reimann to dispense with the reading of Ordinance 984-6 to amend <br />Chapter 170.06 of the City Code entitled "Flood Plain Management". <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Reimann, <br />Sorteberg, Schlueter and Van Wagner. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />c) Request For Final Plat Approval; Case Of River's Bend Plat - <br /> <br />Council unanimously consented to dispense with the reading of <br />the proposed resolution. <br /> <br />Councilmember Schlueter referred to City Engineer's letter <br />dated August 10, 1984, Item 2.a which suggests that Xkimo <br />Street be renamed to Waco Street. She also noted that some <br />time ago Council designated Xkimo as a planned MSA road. <br /> <br />City Engineer Raatikka replied that Xkimo was designated MSA <br />for planning purposes only and that the name change from <br />Xkimo to Waco will occur at an intersection. <br /> <br />C/August 14, 1984 <br /> Page 8 of 20 <br /> <br /> <br />
