I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I

Lloyd:

Regarding Cent:al Park, I think something ,should be established for locking the
gate into the ball diamond areas. I notice that most of the time the cable for
the gate is lying on the ground and it aopears that many cars drive back to the
ball fields. If this is okay with the park dept. and city then I couldn't care
less but it is my understanding that there are to be no motorized vehicles in
a city park and that is how we have been enforceing it. Unless advised differently
we will continue to chase people out. If it is decided to keep cars out there should
be a sign posted next to the gate concerning park curfew and notice of no vehicles
allowed in the park area. If it is decided to lock the cable then Merle and my
departments should have keys for emergency use and maintenance.

~ 7-29-84
