! <br />i <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />Brenda Bauerkemper - 162nd Lane - Submitted copies of an article <br />pubished in the August 8, 1984 Minneapolis Star and Tribune <br />entitled "Pollutants Threaten California Water Basin" and <br />requested that Council take this article into consideration when <br />deciding whether or not to approve Waste Management of Minnesota <br />Inc.'s request for a conditional use permit. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec did note that testing of residential wells adjacent <br />to~ the landfill have been completed and tests show that there are <br />bascially no problems; testing of the well on the Maas property <br />did show some irregularities but this was expected as the well is <br />only approximately 38' deep. <br /> <br />Julie Heifort - 16?th Lane - Submitted, in writing, a request <br />that Council amend the ordinance on recreational burning. Ms. <br />Heifort stated that her neighbor is abusing the recreational <br />burning ordinance and creating a safety hazard. <br /> <br />Council consensus was to discuss <br />Mayor/Council Input. <br /> <br />Ms. Heifort's issue during <br /> <br />Eunice Doman - Anoka Realty - Stated that her client, Mr. Gary <br />Stritesky, is requesting Council approval to subdivide a 20 acre <br />tract from an 80 acre parcel owned by Harold Barstow. <br /> <br />Council consensus was to pla~e Mr. Gary Stritesky's <br />the Council Agenda as Case #15 under Council New Business. <br /> <br />request on <br /> <br />Greg Patten - 151st Avenue <br />opposing 4x4 racing in <br />neighborhoods within the City. <br /> <br />- Submitted to Council a petition <br />close proximity to residential <br /> <br />Motion by Council~ember Sorteberg and seconded by Councilme~ber <br />Schlueter to receive petition opposing 4x4 racing in close <br />proximity to residential areas within the City. <br /> <br />Mot ion carried. Vot lng Yes: <br />Sorteberg, Reimann, Schlueter. <br />CouncilmerNber Van Wagner. <br /> <br /> Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers <br />Voting No: None. Absent: <br /> <br />Mayor Ga~ec pointed out that the issue of 4x4 racing will not be <br />placed on the agenda; that the petition will be filed accordingly <br />and the next tine 4x4 racing is brought before Council, the <br />petition will be submitted as back-up ~aterial to the request. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Sorteberg and seconded <br />Schlueter to approve the agenda, addendum to <br />following items being added to the agenda: <br /> <br /> by Councilmember <br />the agenda and the <br /> <br />C/August 28, 1984 <br /> <br />Page 6 of 24 <br /> <br /> <br />
