I <br /> I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />The Commission consensus was that lighting, bleachers, grills <br />and trees for Central Park be put to Council as potential uses <br />for Federal Revenue Sharing Funds. <br /> <br />Discussion ensued regarding the need for fencing in outfields <br />at ball diamonds at Central Park and the Commission requested <br />that Ms. Beyer check with the Public Works Department to see <br />if there is enough snow fencing on hand that could be used <br />during game season. <br /> <br />PARK BOARD INPUT <br /> <br />Chairman Donovan stated that Commissioner McLean has resigned <br />from the Park and Recreation Commission. <br /> <br />Commission consensus was to send a letter of appreciation to <br />Mr, McLean. <br /> <br />Commission noted letter dated AGgust 20, 1984 from Metro Council <br />to Minnesota Intergovernmental Review Board in which it is <br />recommended that Ramsey's application for LAWCON funds for <br />Central Park development not be considered eligible. <br /> <br />Chairman Donovan stated that he hopes the City Planner that <br />is being added to City Staff will be able to assisst the City <br />in obtaining some of these grant monies. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Commission consensus was to adjourn the regular meeting of the <br />Ramsey Park and Recreation Commission, <br /> <br />The meeting adjourned at 8:45 p.m. <br /> <br />Respectfully submitted, <br /> <br />Sylvia Frolik <br />Secretary <br /> <br />P & R/August 23, 1984 <br /> Page 4 of 4 <br /> <br /> <br />
