I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I TO: Ramsey Park and Recreation Commission FROM: City Staff RE: Park Co~mission Business Enclosure (D2-a) Excerpts from (3~apter 7 of the City Charter regarding Capital Improvement Plan (D2-b) Resolution #84-186 regarding task group on future direction of Ramsey Community School operation CASE #1: Discussion of Capital Improvement Plan regarding Park Development~ Upon passage of the City Charter the City is required to draft a long-term financial plan for the City for at least five years. Enclosure (D2-a) contains excerpts from Chapter 7 stating this requirement. The job before the Park Board at this time is to accom- plish the following items: 1) Prepare your "Want List" for park development for the next five years. '2) From your "Want List" propose how it will be paid for. 3) Next from the "Want List" prioritize what you want and how they will fit into the entire City operati on. This is no easy task for you as it requires a lot of hard thinking. It may require the considering of a special meeting or two. The Staff has a deadline of November 15 to compile all data on this project and have ready to Present to Council at their second meeting in November. CASE #2: Park Board and .R.amsey .CQmmunity Educat~o~ Task Force; At their regular meeting of September 10, 1984, the Ramsey City Council adopted Resolution #84-186 developing a task group to develop a three year plan to address the future di. re~on of the Ramsey community school operation.
