I I I I I I I Commissioner Gamec stated that the only comments he has received since the public meeting on February 15, 1984 is that people would like to see a summary of the Charter regarding current form of government and how charter adoption will change that. Commissioner Data stated that he is particular concerned with the feelings of the councilmembers towards the charter and that they understand what it consists of; a brief comparison should be prepared in an overview fashion. The Charter Commission will answer any questions between now and the election; that is one way to iron out the differences. Another way is to publish a summ~ary and complete charter is the newspaper. Mr. Bill G. Miller - 14061 Germanium - When is the charter election to be held? Commissioner Data replied that the election date is not yet set. Election date is pending resolution of minor differences of opinion in the charter, final legal review and submission to the Council. Council either approves the charter by a unanimous vote or they set an election date. The election could possibly be held sometime in May, 1984. CC/February 23, 1984 Page 2 of 11
