I <br />iI <br /> <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> ! <br /> I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />Mr. Schnelle stated that he and Mayor Gamec have discussed this and maybe <br />it would be best to use Local Development Corporation money as a package <br />with othertypes of money to develop the first segment of a tax increment <br />program in our first sewer area which serves Ramsey's industrial area. <br /> <br />Commissioner Schmidt concurred, but pointed out that you have to establish <br />the Local Development Corporation prior to funnelling money through it. <br /> <br />Commissioner Fults dismissed himself from the meeting at this time. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Guy and seconded by Commissioner Veve~ that the EDC <br />Finance Subcommittee research Community Development Block Grant parameters <br />and explore potential areas for utilization of those funds. It is further <br />directed that the Finance subcommittee report their recommendations at the <br />next regular meeting of the EDC. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Greenberg, Commissioners Miller, Guy~ <br />Sehmidt, Vevea and Fults. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioners Cox, <br />Schneider and Muller. <br /> <br />Case #3: Report On Progress Of Formulation Of Economic PoliCy Proposal <br /> <br />For The City Of Ramsey: <br /> <br />This case was tabled until the next regular meeting of the EDC. <br /> <br />Case ~4: Recommending Appointment Of Person To Fill Vacancy On The Economic <br /> <br />Development Commission: <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Miller and seconded by Commissioner Schmidt that the <br />EDC appointment by determined by written ballot, <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Greenberg, Commissioners Miller, Guy, <br />Schmidt, Vevea 0 Voting No: ~None. Absent; Commissioners Fults~ Cox, <br />Schneider and Muller. (Before dlsraissing himself from the meeting, Commissioner <br />Fults submitted his ballot to Chairman Greenberg). <br /> <br />Ballots were collected and counted by C~ty Administrator Schnelle. <br /> <br />The results of the ballot are as follows~ <br /> <br />Mr. Paul Johnson <br />Mr. Glen ~ardin <br />Mr. Dale Ketchum <br />Mr. Ken Wagner ~ <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Schmidt and seconded by Commissioner Guy to recommend <br />that City Council appoint Mr~ Glen Hard~n to fill the unexpired term of <br />Mr. Joe Sentyrz on the Ramsey Economic Development Comm~ssi~n. <br /> <br />Motion carried, Voting Yes: Chai~vnan Greenberg~ Commissioners M~ller, Guy, <br />Schmidt and Vevea. Voting No: None. Absent; Commissioners Fults, Cox, <br />Schneider and Muller. <br /> <br />Miscellaneous - <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec brought up the subject of the landfill lawsuit and stated the <br />situation as being very close to ~00% agreement between Anoka County, City <br /> <br />EDC/February 8, 1984 <br /> Page 6 of 7 <br /> <br /> <br />
