Councilmember Kurak introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #04-04-090 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF RAMSEY ENTERING INTO A GRANT <br />AGREEMENT WITH THE METROPOLITIAN COUNCIL REGARDING THE STUDY <br />OF THE CENTRAL RURAL RESERRVE AREA. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey is a participant in the Livable Communities Act's <br />Housing Incentive Program for 2003 as determined by Metropolitan Council; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City has identified a proposed project with the City that meets the <br />Predevelopment Grant's purposes and criteria; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on September 9, 2003, the City Council authorized the City to apply for a <br />Predevelopment Grant with the Metropolitan Council to study the Central Rural Reserve Area; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council awarded the City a grant in the amount of <br />$33,000.00 to conduct the Central Rural Reserve Area in 2003. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, SATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />That the Ramsey City Administrator is hereby authorized to enter into the Grant Agreement with <br />Metropolitan Council for the study of the Central Rural Reserve Area. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Elvig, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereofi <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councilmember <br />Councilmember <br />Councilmember <br />Councilmember <br />Councilmember <br /> <br />Kurak <br />Elvig <br />Pearson <br />Strommen <br />Zimmerman <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />Councilmember Cook <br /> <br /> <br />
