Councilmember adoption: introduced the following resolution and moved for its RESOLUTION %84- WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey entered into an agreement with the Ramsey Center Partnership on January 10, 1980 to acquire certain parcels of land from Ramsey Center for the following purposes (enclosure (1) contains a copy of the contract dated January 10, 1980): a) Interest in the public welfare of the citizens of Ramsey b) Granted deeded property easement for streets and utilities AND WHEREAS, at the Ramsey City Council meeting of January 10, 1980, Council granted approval of the agreement between the City of Ramsey and Ramsey Center and at that meeting Mr. Art Raudio, representing Ramsey Center, requested that any land not needed in the deeded property easement be returned to them. Further, he stated that he would like for the County Engineer to determine the amount of actual easements needed; and WHEREAS, Councilman Cox stated at this meeting before Mayor Gamec and Councilmembers Mickelson, Reimann and Sorteberg, that any land taken for deeded property easement that isn't needed will revert back to the property owner (enclosure (2) contains an excerpt coup; of City Council meeting minutes dated January 8, 1980); and WHEREAS, the Anoka County Engineer's letter dated ~¢. ~7, ~ states that the County does not need an approximately 50' wide deeded property easement on the south side of the proposed Rum River B.ridge Crossing (enclosure (3) con- tains County Engineer's letter dated ~Z-7-~ ); and WHEREAS, Mr. Art Raudio is requesting that the above stated 50' wide deeded property easement be returned to Ramsey Center. NC~ ~/~EREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY ~]~E CITY COUNCIL OF ~RE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, S~I~TE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) In view of the above documentation, even though the agreement be- tween the City of Ramsey and Ramsey Center does not mention returning excess deeded land easement to Ramsey Center, it appears that this was the intent of the City Council. 2) It is hereby directed that Ordinance %84-.~1 be introduced. ~he motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the day of , 1984.
