Counci lmember <br />moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution and <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ~84- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID (Plat of River's Bend) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the <br />improvement of street and grading improvements to the plat of <br />River's Bend, bids were received, opened and tabulated according <br />to law, and the following bids were received complying with the <br /> <br />advertisement: <br /> <br /> Forest Lake Contracting <br /> <br /> H & S Asphalt Company <br /> Valley Paving, Inc. <br /> Alexander Construction CO. <br /> Hardrives, Inc. <br /> <br /> Buffalo Bituminous, Inc. <br /> <br />Amount of Bid <br /> <br /> $385,513.00 <br /> $397,982.00 <br /> $423,650.20 <br /> $429,988.05 <br /> $476,219.80 <br /> $482,642.00 <br /> <br /> AND WHEREAS, it appears that Forest Lake Contracting is <br />the lowest responsible bidder. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESO~, as follows: <br /> <br /> 1) The Mayor and City Administrator/Clerk are hereby <br />authorized and directed to enter into the attached contract with <br />Forest Lake Contracting in the name of the City of Ramsey for <br />streets and grading improvements to the plat of River's Bend <br />according to the plans and specifications therefor approved by <br />the City Council and on file in the office of the City <br />Administrator/Clerk. <br /> <br /> 2) That the City Administrator/Clerk is hereby <br />authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the <br />deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the <br />successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained <br />until a oontract has been signed. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly <br />seconded by Councilmember and upon vote being taken <br />thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by <br /> <br /> <br />
